Experienced Chef

£10.25 an hour – Full-time, Part-time, Contract

The Humber Royal Hotel is looking for two experienced chefs for the re-opening of our Brasserie in June, with a familiarisation period towards the end of May. This will consist of menu briefing as well as linear flow and kitchen management training of our due diligence system.

Our 4-star hotel is looking for an experienced chef to join our new opening team. With progression available, we are seeking chefs that are experienced and able to give input with menu development, placing orders and being responsible for kitchen due diligence. We are looking for chefs who can assist and develop the food not only for the brasserie but also for weddings and events.

Initially, the post is offered on a zero-hour basis as we move out of government restrictions with a potential offer of a full time contract provided that the brasserie and banqueting generates a profit coupled with management satisfaction of the successful candidate.

Skills required:

  • Work under the management of the Assistant Manager
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role working for a hotel or busy restaurant
  • Holder of an NVQ 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
  • Holder of Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience of stock control management and ordering
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety as well as Food Safety Management
  • Train and supervise junior chefs when the kitchen brigade grows, including best practices, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • A good understanding of portion control, cooking and presenting to specifications
  • Excellent communication skills with the drive for motivational leadership. You must be able to listen and take on feedback from your colleagues and customers
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Possess immaculate personal presentation and discipline at all times

 

Bar/Waiting on Staff
£8.91 an hour – Full-time, Part-time, Contract

The Humber Royal Hotel is looking for bar/waiting on staff for the re-opening of our Brasserie in June, with a familiarisation period towards the end of May.

We are currently looking for bar and waiting on staff for our busy Brasserie and Function suite within our 4-star hotel. You will be required to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays as to the needs of the business. Experience preferred but training will be given.

Initially, the post is offered on a zero-hour basis as we move out of government restrictions with a potential offer of a full time contract provided that the brasserie and banqueting generates a profit coupled with management satisfaction of the successful candidate.
